DeWinton Community Association Playground to Re-open June 15, 2020

In line with Foothills County playgrounds, we are pleased to announce that our playground will re-open June 15!

Please keep in mind that using playgrounds does have some risks. Children may find it difficult to avoid touching their eyes, nose, or mouth. This can lead to the spread of the virus to playground equipment, other children, and other families. Those using the grounds and playground equipment must adhere to all Alberta CoVid-19 Public Health Orders, Restrictions and Guidance for Playgrounds, Outdoor Recreation and Outdoor Gatherings to help mitigate risks.

Maintain 2 metres distance from those not in your household group
Outdoor gatherings must be less than 50 people (less if 2 metre distancing cannot be maintained)
Do not share toys or sport equipment.
Practice proper hand hygiene
Wash your hand frequently
Carry and use hand sanitizer (minimum 60% alcohol) especially before and after playground use
Do not touch your face
Those who are sick or have symptoms related to CoVid-19 must not use playgrounds
Be sure your children know the rules and how to follow them
Please see the attached for more details or visit

The playground equipment will not be cleaned or disinfected by the municipality or the DCA.

Please be aware of the risks.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our families and neighbours safe and healthy!
