Finding The DeWinton Hall
From Calgary
South from the Calgary city limits on McLeod Trail, you will proceed until you see the road sign indicating DeWinton. This is 226 Ave.
Turn right (west) off of the highway (226 Ave.), and take an immediate left hand turn (the left turn is maybe 25 yards off of the main highway), which is 16th St W.
South from Calgary on Deerfoot Trail, proceed to the Dunbow Road/De Winton exit. Exit west (right) and proceeding on Dunbow Road, continue west, crossing Highway 2a, until you reach a stop sign, which is 16th St. W. Turn left at this stop sign.
This road will take you through the village of DeWinton. The Community Centre is a large building that is off of this road about 50 yards. It is a few lots past the General Store that will be on your left side.
The entrance to the Centre is marked with a sign and there is a frame gateway above the driveway.
From Okotoks
Proceed north from Okotoks on highway 2A. Proceed to the DeWinton turn-off, which is a left-hand turn before you reach the highway 2 overpass (16th St. E). This road will take you to the village of DeWinton with no additional turns required.
The Centre is going to be on your right-hand side as you enter the town site. The entrance is marked and has a frame gateway above the driveway.
Landmarks to look for are the Catl-Lac Grain elevators on your left-hand side. The entrance to the Centre is just to your right after you pass these. Note that if you see the General Store, you have missed and gone too far!
