K9 Nosework® Class Information
Looking for a fun and easy way to keep your dog busy during the winter? K9 Nosework® (Scent Detection) is one of the fastest growing dog sports out there – and with good reason. Your dog’s nose is its best asset and channelling that skill helps them to engage their brain, increase confidence and have fun doing what dogs do best. Dogs of all stripes can play this low impact game.
**Classes are run in 6 class sessions, once weekly. DCA Members $120 + GST, non-members $180 + GST**
Foundatons of K9 Nosework®
This class introduces the basic game of scent detection. Tapping in to our dog’s natural abilities to hunt is the primary focus of this introductory class. Honing handler observation skills is also a priority for the class. No experience is needed.

Advanced Skills
This class teaches more complex and challenging skills to dogs and handlers. While one does not need to trial to play, many students are beginning to trial at this level and skills will be tailored to the level that registered teams are working at.
